Privacy Policy for West Windsor Potholes

This policy describes what data West Windsor Potholes collects, how it is used, and your rights. This is an independent community project — not affiliated with West Windsor Township.
1. Data We Collect
When you browse (no account required)
- No cookies or tracking scripts are set.
- Google Maps loads map tiles and may log your IP per Google’s privacy policy.
When you sign in (Google OAuth or magic link)
- Your email address and display name from your Google account or email provider.
- A unique user ID assigned by our authentication provider (Supabase).
When you submit a report
- Photos you upload.
- GPS coordinates or a manually placed pin location.
- Road name, severity rating, and optional description.
- Timestamp of submission.
When you vote, use “Hit It”, or comment
- Your user ID and the action taken, along with a timestamp.
2. How We Use Your Data
- Reports, photos, and locations are displayed publicly on the map to help the community identify road hazards.
- Your display name is shown alongside your reports and comments.
- Vote and hit counts are shown in aggregate; individual votes are not publicly attributed.
- We do not use your data for advertising, profiling, or any purpose other than running this site.
3. Data Storage and Third-Party Services
Your data is stored and processed by the following services:

We do not sell, share, or transfer your data to any other third parties.
4. Data Retention
Your account data and reports are retained as long as your account exists. You may request deletion at any time (see section 6). Deleted reports are removed from the public map immediately.
5. Children’s Privacy
This site is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect data from children under 13.
6. Your Rights
You may request access to, correction of, or deletion of your data by emailing wwpotholes@gmail.com. We will respond within 30 days.
7. Changes
This policy may be updated at any time. The date at the top of this page reflects the most recent revision.
